Lifting Slings
Here at Lifting Equipment Store, we take pride in being specialist suppliers of top-quality, made-to-order Lifting Slings. Proudly manufactured right here in the UK, our slings have garnered recognition and praise across multiple industries for their reliability and robustness.
Safety is a cornerstone of our business, and we strongly advocate for the regular replacement of lifting slings. Many professional lifting associations recommend replacing your slings every four years to ensure maximum safety. Accidents in the workplace can be catastrophic, and taking necessary precautions can make all the difference. Regular inspection of your slings is crucial - look out for any rips, tears, kinks, or snags before each use. By law, a thorough examination is required every six months to maintain the highest safety standards.
OUR LIFTING SLINGS
Our simple flat Web Slings are meticulously crafted from 100% polyester. This choice of material lends our slings a level of robustness and durability that's hard to beat, offering benefits that Chain Slings or Wire Rope Slings cannot provide. Polyester, being a softer and lighter material than chain and wire rope, results in Fabric Slings that are gentler on your loads, preventing scratches or dents. Furthermore, these slings are immune to rust and age-related weakening (unless exposed to corrosive environments), providing long-lasting reliability.
Our Web Slings feature reinforced becket style eyes, with other eye styles available upon request. In the interest of clarity and safety, all our Webbing and Round Slings are colour-coordinated to indicate their safe working load or capacity. This simplifies identification and reduces the chance of errors during operations.
Choosing the Lifting Equipment Store means choosing an unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and excellence. We are dedicated to providing lifting solutions that not only meet but exceed your expectations. Contact us today to discover how our Lifting Slings can enhance your operations.
ROUND SLINGS
Round Slings are even softer, and offers reassurance to cause less damage to your load if any at all), so they're perfectly suited to lift smooth and polished objects. Even though they look weak, they are very strong and feature very low stretch. They are the most cost-effective sling on the market right now. They also come in a range of different colours to provide easy identification of Safe Working Load. They are also offered in black to suit customers in the theatre, exhibition, and stage performance sectors.
DISPOSABLE/ONE-WAY SLINGS
Disposable/One-Way Slings - these propose the most cost-effective simple lifting sling for loading and unloading loads such as timber for roof trusses or walls from one end of a factory/warehouse to another. This type of sling can also be built into structures and either detached or hidden at its final location. We do offer both Endless Slings and slings that can come with eyes at either end to suit your requirements. Our range of high-quality products are the superior choice when it comes to safety and quality, with all of our Polyester and Wire Rope Slings being manufactured in a regulated, quality-controlled environment, just five miles from our HQ in the United Kingdom.
GUIDE TO LIFTING SLINGS
Lifting heavy goods and loads that could be easily damaged using rough Chain Wire Rope Slings is now no longer a problem. Polyester Lifting Slings were specifically developed to lift objects where surface damage would be unacceptable (such as a mega yacht or newly painted surfaces). The soft polyester significantly reduces friction and damage to surfaces, ensuring your goods remain in tip-top condition when being transported. Another clear advantage of Soft Slings is the huge reduction in the actual weight of the sling itself.
Polyester Webbing Slings can be purchase as standard with an eye on each end, or they can be customised to your specifications - all of our custom-made slings are webbed in the UK.
They can be used in a number of different ways, such as choking or creating a basket. Please note that there can alter the safe working load of the slings depending upon which method you use for lifting. Our range includes tags that show all safe working load limits of the sling for safety purposes.
CHAIN SLINGS
We supply chain slings of all sizes, supplying only the best branded chain on the market from Pewag (world's oldest chain company), Kuplex, Crosby, Cartec, and Linx, to name just a few. Our products are built-to-order and assembled in the UK, utilising only the highest quality chains and components, all certified upon dispatch.
BESPOKE SLINGS
As we manufacture many of our slings in the UK, we are able to offer a bespoke manufactured sling service, designed and built to your exacting requirements, in small and large volumes. Please note that minimum order charges may apply.
LARGE ORDERS
In the past, we have been involved in several large tenders for Lifting Slings. We have partners in China and surrounding countries who also manufacture to the highest quality, meeting all industry standards. We have the ability to import large volumes with very short notice. Anything is possible for us, and in the past, we have been involved in tenders for quantities of over 2000 Polyester Webbing slings, where the requirements were so urgent that we were able to provide emergency air freight and deliver what would take UK manufacturers over 12 months to produce - in just 30 days. We really are the best when it comes to delivering off-standard orders.
